Kevin had completed his 24-hour shift at Medic Rescue's Aliquippa station and was on his way home when his car crossed the center lane and struck a utility pole.<br />

Kevin was 25 years old when he died at the scene of the accident on June 13, 1994. Before his death, Kevin worked as an EMT and was attending paramedic classes.<br />
<br />
He volunteered as a firefighter in Beaver Falls where he worked under the guidance of his father, Assistant Chief Robert Ellefson, and was a member of the department's scuba diving team.<br />
<br />
Medic Rescue employees and Beaver Falls firefighters wore black patches over their badges as they remembered Kevin and mourned his loss. They remember him as a dedicated, hard working, and caring person.<br />
