Justin Michael Hueston, age 22, was a resident of Mapleton, Kansas. He graduated from Uniontown High School with the class of 2008. He was a member of FFA, FCA, Football, Band, Choir, KAYS, and Upward Bound.<br />

He married Katie Lynn Oharah on October 11, 2008, at Fort Scott, Kansas. Justin served his country in the National Guard with the 891st Engineering Unit from Iola, Kansas. He was deployed to Africa with the 1161st unit out of Hutchison, Kansas. He was an EMT for Vernon County, Missouri, a volunteer firefighter, and served as Assistant Fire Chief in Mapleton. Justin was a member of the RIT team, and also worked construction when he had time. He worked as a lab assistant at Fort Scott Community College for EMS training. A spokesman from Vernon County Ambulance said, "Justin was a gregarious, awesome, young man. He was a wonderful, caring, compassionate, energetic, ambitious person. You asked him to do it, and it was done."<br />

He enjoyed participating in tractor pulling and he loved his new truck. He was a member of the Red Knights motorcycle club and a member of the Mapleton United Methodist Church. Justin was always helpful to anyone requiring his assistance. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, Coby and Paityn.<br />
<br />
On the morning of September 25, 2012, Justin was on his way to work, riding his motorcycle as he often did. While traveling on US-54 near Fort Scott a car drifted into Justin's lane striking his motorcycle. Justin was air-lifted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri where he later died of his injuries.<br />
