Thomas "P-Nut" Widcamp, 38, of Grand Lake, Louisiana, was killed in the line of duty on October 9, 2009 in a weather-related accident. Strong winds knocked a trailer off its blocks, sweeping it, and pinning Widcamp between the building and car. Thomas was airlifted to a Lake Charles Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.<br />

Thomas had a wife, Melissa and 4 beautiful children - Ryan, Blake, Alesha and Caleb. Thomas was a Paramedic for Cameron Parish EMS located in Cameron, Louisiana. He had been in the emergency medical field since 1993 and during his career he had also worked for Acadian Ambulance Service and Med-Express Ambulance Service. Thomas was a hard working paramedic and it was very important to him that he be the best that he could be, and he was one of the best.<br />

Thomas loved the Lord and enjoyed reading his Bible daily. He also loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children, riding his motorcycle with his wife and friends, and working on different projects around the house. He never met a stranger and had great compassion and caring for everyone that he came in contact with. Thomas was known by many and loved by all and his loss will be felt in many ways by many people.<br />
