"Mark was one of the smartest people I ever met; he was high energy and everything he did was done right," said a colleague. He was everything that epitomized what the word "rescue" meant. Mark will definitely be missed by his community.<br />

Mark E. Marvel, 45, died in the line of duty on July 25, 2008. He was providing emergency medical coverage during a concert in Noblesville, Indiana when he suffered a heart attack. An all-out effort was made to save Mark's life, but it was unsuccessful.<br />
<br />
Marvel was a 25-year veteran Fire Fighter and became a Paramedic in March 2008. He was the Director of Training for Seals Ambulance Service where he worked full time at the time of his death. Mark also worked part-time for Community Health Hospitals EMS, Boone County EMS and was an active member of Cicero Township Fire Department in Tipton, Indiana. He previously worked for Riley Hospital on the neo-natal transport team and for Methodist Hospital in the emergency room, both in the Indianapolis area.<br />

He loved what he did, loved people, and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.<br />
