Biography
"James was a true brother in EMS and he's going to be deeply missed," colleague Don Viens stated. He was a very good EMT and was a natural born helper. He was such a hard worker, giving so much of his time and energy in the growth of Old Bridge. He wanted the community to have an agency it could be proud of and he helped make it that way.

James Dodridge, 52, was killed in the line of duty on March 15, 2004. He was on his way to work when a call came out concerning an accident on the road he was traveling. Coming upon the crash, he pulled onto the median and was struck by a car and killed.

Dodridge worked for Old Bridge First Aid and Rescue Squad for ten years as a volunteer and as an emergency medical technician. He served the agency as it crew chief, line officer and chaplain.

"We salute you and miss you, and will for a long time, Chief," says the crew.

Honored 2009
