We were looking through the rubble, looking for survivors when we discovered Tim's body. He was getting his family out, and then coming to work, they were ready to go out the door when the tornado hit. It is hard when you find one of your own, but it is your work, you must understand that. Tim would have done the same thing. It is our duty to take care of the injured, to help save lives.<br />

Michael Timothy Brown, 24, was killed in a Line of Duty death on November 16, 2006. During a severe weather incident, Tim responded to an emergency medical call. As he was departing from his residence, the area was hit by a tornado and Browne was severely injured, passing away at the scene.<br />
<br />
He was a three-year volunteer with the Acme-Delco-Riegelwood Fire Rescue located in Riegelwood, North Carolina.<br />

"Tim was one of the most intelligent, articulate and kind people I have even known. I am forever grateful to have been his colleague and more importantly his friend," stated Mimi Wahlmann.<br />
