To honor the memory of Marjory Brooks, Governor Jim Douglas ordered flags to fly at half-mast for three days. "There are difficult jobs in every choice of work, but workers accept the responsibility to be on the front line of dangerous situations everyday," said Governor Douglas, "They are our hometown protectors and care givers in times of need." "This is a great loss to the EMS family," said Dan Manz, chief of Emergency Medical Services for the Vermont Department of Health, "Marge and her family are really part of the history of emergency medical services in Barton, the Northeast Kingdom, and Vermont as a whole."<br />
