"She was very loving, very caring and was always willing to help people."<br />

Karen Peebles was one of three killed on January 31, 1996, when the plane she was riding in crashed and burned on impact on the northern slope of the San Francisco Peaks, in Flagstaff, Arizona. The flight was dispatched for a pediatric flight from Pallium Airport in Flagstaff en route to Phoenix, Arizona. The cause of the crash is believed to have been due to landing gear problems. Snowy weather conditions were also present at the time.<br />

Peebles was a Guardian Air Flight Respiratory Care Practitioner who provided in-flight critical care to all patient populations, to include the neonatal specialty flight team. "Karen had a special place in her heart for children and that is why she insisted on serving on a flight team. She felt she could do more that way. She wanted to help babies who were born with problems," said Mike, Karen's husband.<br />
