Biography
James was too young to die. However, like many other young people, he died loving what he was doing, helping other people as an Emergency Medical Technician.James E. Lowe was an employee for the Magoffin County G & B Ambulance Service located in Salyersville, Kentucky. On September 14, 1992 James and his partner were making a routine patient transport when they hit a coal truck head-on. The ambulance collided with a loaded 18-wheel coal truck. The truck pushed the ambulance backward 100 feet across the road and into a ditch line. The truck's cab nearly flattened the smaller vehicle beneath it while its trailer overturned, spilling coal across the road. The ambulance caught fire and both vehicles exploded and caught fire. All occupants lost their lives.James E. Lowe, 21, of Denver in Johnson County, is survived by his wife Patricia, daugheter Natasha and parents, Mr. & Mrs. Irvine Lowe.Honored 1999
