The helicopter had been summoned to the Hamilton County Hospital to transport a heart patient to Iowa Methodist Medical Center for treatment. The helicopter plummeted to the ground on approach to the hospital. It is thought the helicopter developed mechanical problems causing it to crash. The young trainee graduated from Buffalo Center High School, and from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing.<br />
