Biography
Paramedic Brad Haugh performed his job with great integrity. Brad was a very caring person who brought a ray of sunshine to everyone he came in contact with. He was just one of those people who was special. He had a sixth sense for helping people and his patients knew it.Brad Haugh, 54, died in the line of duty on March 23, 2008. He had returned from an emergency call when he started experiencing chest pains. He was taken to Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tennessee, where he later succumbed to heart failure.Brad began his career as a public service officer in 1977 with the City of Murray Fire Department. He became a CPR instructor, Level II Fire Service Instructor, shift extrication rescue unit officer, and Fire Safety Educator to the community. He was awarded Firefighter of the Year in 1994 and Officer of the Year in 1996 and 2001. In 1990 he became an EMT and began working for Murray Calloway Hospital Ambulance part-time. After his retirement in 2001 from the fire department, he became a full-time EMT. He completed his paramedic license in 2007 and in February 2008 began working part-time for Clinton-Hickman County EMS while remaining full-time at Murray Calloway.Brad loved playing his guitar and singing Jimmy Buffet songs. He loved the beach, traveling, but most of all his four daughters, Allison, Rachel, Erica and Emily.Honored 2009
