"Jim's skills as a pilot were impeccable. He took his job seriously and was a true professional who treated everyone with respect and was always willing to lend a hand. He and his family built their own ?dream house' overlooking the bay," stated Congressman Bart Stupak. He was a gifted individual and the medical field has lost a great pilot.<br />

James J. Vincent, Jr., 46, of Menominee, Michigan, was killed in the line of duty on April 13, 2006. Mr. Vincent was on a routine maintenance flight when he sent a distress call; witnesses on the ground saw the helicopter spinning many times out of control before he crash-landed. The medical pilot was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was died a short time later.<br />

Mr. Vincent worked as a medical pilot for County Eagle Air III out of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He served his country in the U. S. Navy for six years. He was also in the U. S. Coast Guard training as a pilot and working search and rescue missions. After leaving the service, Jim's love of flying took him to Eagle Air III.<br />

Jim found his job very rewarding and he quickly earned the respect and admiration of his peers. A co- worker stated, "While he was serious about his job, he also loved playing pranks on his co-workers. He loved his country, his family, and his job flying rescue. His professional talents are sorely missed."<br />
