| Pat was struck by a drunk driver while clearing the scene of an accident involving a Chesterfield County police officer. Pat received a fatal head injury as a result of being struck by the vehicle and died on November 18, 1981.<br /> <br /> Pat was an active member of the Bensley-Bermuda Volunteer Rescue Squad for just over two years and was active on both the ambulance and the crash truck. He had participated on the squad's medium duty crash truck in competition both locally and at the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads State Convention.<br /> <br /> Surviving is his brother, Rusty Mason.<br /> <br /> Honored 1998 |
